Was this out at Houston Motorsports Park by Beltway and 59?

I was going to head out there this Friday but they are having some sort of drag racing show with Rick Christensian this weekend...

I've never been to a track in my car, so it will be pretty fun... for my first time out there I'm just hoping to break 8.90s in my car. :-)

 

Yeah this was at Houston Motorsports Park. It is really fun going to the track man and practice definitely makes perfect. I improved .3 in the 1/8th mile just with the driver mod and offroad H but I don’t think it made a .3 difference lol. I am going to go again but in 3 weekends because I will be out of town the next two weekends. Let me know if you go that weekend or whenever maybe we can meet up.

That's a good ET for a 82 mph trap; when I was trapping 82 I was running ETs in the 8.8-9.0 range. I'll post some times from when I was running 1/8 ETs like yours (8.6) for a comparison.

why dont you go to HRP and run 1/4. Ill be down there Feb 22 if it doesnt rain. Looking to bust into the 12s (12.7 with some driving)

 

I wanted to go to HRP to get a real 1/4 reading but they said 13.9 and faster you need a helmet! So my friend in louisiana is going to give me an old one this weekend when i go down there. the 22nd im going to the MF austin cruise, but if you want to go another day let me know.

I guess i didn't do too bad then huh? What i really have to work on is my 60ft. I cant get past a damn 2.10 but i think going there often and practicing will help me master the "feathering" of the clutch.

i might be mistaking though i did see a red one with gt500 rims that sounded beastly

 

Was it a maroon mustang? With blackout panel and back lights? That’s my buddy with a 125 shot he only got to run once because of no helmet lol. Did u have ur stang there?
