Why do stangs have to sound so good?

Don't get me wrong, I like the sound of a good strong 5.0, but they all sound the same. A cammed motor to me sounds like every other cammed motor. Especially 5.0's and other big blocks.
I prefer the sound of almost any 4.6 exhaust combo to a good 5.0 exhaust.
I think all mustangs have a very very distinct exhaust note, no matter what the setup is. S197's dont sound quite as good to me, but I havent heard too terribly many around here. The foxes and sn95's though, I love'm. I can hear one in the distance, running through the gears, and instantly tell its a mustang.
But, IMO, there is one setup that is disgusting, for lack of better term, and thats LoudMouths!!! uuuggghhhh (no offense to the LM folks on here

i LOVE the sound of my 5.0, but there is something about the V8 mod motors that are just sex with full exhaust. especially the Termi's of course, but there are some NICE sounding 2V GT's around here. but like someone else said, 'Stangs just have the noticeable exhaust. i love it.
I'm curious as to how many of you MF'ers agree with this statement.

I don't agree but that's the thing we all have our likes and dislikes. Growing up the 5.0 was the thing to drive. Once I bought my car, exhaust was a must. To help me make up my mine I posted a thread on MF about a year ago and I told the guys that I wanted the old school 5.0 sound. One of the members (I forget who) told me what to buy and it was exactly what I wanted.
yeah, nope, 2v's sound like pure *** to me. anything modular does, except for maybe a cammed M3, those sound like sex (can't remember if they are OHV or OHC)
The ONLY thing I like about my exhaust is how quiet it is, other than that, ehh, I guess it's okay. I'd rather have a 93' notchback with H/C/I and a full 3" exhaust, and then you'd have a great sound. Especially with a hydrolic roller cam, ooooo, just the thought of it is sexeh.

2000AZ5, Like I said earlier, everyone has there likes and dislikes and you my friend seem to hate the way the 2v sounds. Eventhough I think the Fox Body's sound better than any mustang, I love the way my car sounds and I'm preety sure all 2V owners feel the same way. Not knocking you man but all 2v's in your opinion sounds like a**. When the weather clears up here gonna post a sound clip, preety sure you want like it but just maybe.......
