Default A Couple Videos

Here's a couple old crappy videos a friend of mine shot while I was racing at my stomping grounds, Norwalk Raceway Park. I was just told about them recently, and thought I would share with others. They are kind of old, and at the time I was only running mid 14's or so. Try to ignore all the idiots standing in the way, and the crappy music in the background.

If you turn it up as I get close to the line you can hear my launching technique () and also hear the tires rip pretty good.

Kinda bogged off the line on this one, didn't get the rpms quite high enough.

It was voted best track in the country by somebody or other And that is still my favorite track memory with the car lol

Him: "It's not a V8?"
Me: Nope.
Him: "It's not DOHC?"
Me: Nope. It's got an old SOHC 2.3 under there.
Him: "Sir, ur gonna have to pop the hood for me."
Me: Whatever. ........"pop"
Him: "Um....well....ok...I guess you can run in the Sport Compact class..."

He sure was reluctant to let me in Too bad I only got second. IC pipe blew off and I lost to my arch nemesis Andrew Dombroski in the final round

Your car is FWD, 4 cylinder, and turbocharged. Obviously it must be an import lol

Yeah, I got a real chuckle out of that story. Hold on to that car, they are becoming a bit of a collectors item.......especially with the 2.3 turbo

See if you can get away with it........ you should have seen the dirty looks I got at Norwalk NOPI 2 years ago in my Stang. Yes my 01 was legal, slowest car there, but it was legal. I had that car dialed in like a train, but I blew the tires off in the first round. Oh well.

Not to be a douche, but did the 80's SVO's come with anything OTHER than the 2.3 turbos?

(I'm they did, I look like a TARD)

pfew...

I've always thought it'd be neat to have one, but I suppose I'd still have the more common and easier to find '85-'86 4 eye with a carb 5.0
