Default TSD Rallys

Hey I went in my first TSD rally last night (time speed distance) and it was a blast! I took the in-laws cavalier as my daily driver explorer or my mustang would have resulted in certain death

Just wondering if anyone around here has ever gone in one? Especially in their mustang/camaro etc

The one we went in was on the back roads in the foothills near the moutains just west of town, even though we go the speed limit it was still scary as hell (snow covered curvy roads at night going 80 kph) but it was definatly a thrill

The old cavalier was probably not the best car to go into this one with as its lights/handeling are kind of sub par expecially compared to all the awd subarus we were competing with, but it was still awesome. I recomend it to anyone who has never tried one

Here is the web page for the one we were in. I don't know what place we finnished in though, one guy in a wrx went off the road so we stopped to help him, apparently we don't get penalized for that but they were having a hard time figuring out how long we were there for

That sounds fun as heck, I'd definitely bring a beater though... I can't imagine flogging an ISF on snowy dirt roads!

Ths guy in the ISF was just one of the officials, he normaly drives/co-drives an old subaru 2.5 RS when he competes

There were a few nicer cars, the guy who went off the road had a pretty mint condition wrx.....good thing there was a big snow bank there to cusion him, lol

They have one of those in Boone, NC about 6 hours from me. I would love to get my SI or Miata entered into it one of these days. I would suspect it takes a ton of practice to learn the best times to brake, downshift, throttle up, etc.
