I'm at a red light on the 4-lane waiting to race, when a GT500 pulls up next to me. He is revving at me and all this, i'm sure he knew he was going to walk me. (My car can barely be heard at idle it's so quiet) Right when the light turns green he's ahead by at least half a car till about 40 mph and then just starts pulling away hard, he probably had 4-5 car lengths on me by 90-100 mph.

I felt ****ty, I've never lost a race and this thing just destroyed me. I've walked away from 3-4 New Edge GT's and edged out a few exhaust+intake S197 GT's, but this wasn't even close. Made me feel bad, but I guess the thing is in a whole other league..

The car looked and sounded amazing, he at least had an exhaust.'

Oh, yeah in case anyone was wondering, I drive a 08 Charger R/T AWD.

that should make u mod ur car even more! those GT500s are handfulls, but the only ones ive seen here are stock, so i can't even imagine modded ones.

 

At least you had the guts to even try.Most folks won't..There is no shame in losing to a car that is plain faster..

 

^ I agree. Most people wont attempt to race if they know they're not going to win.

 

I saw a stock gt500 vert at the track when they came out. The guy bought it and drove it to the track and his first run he ran a 13.2. by the end of the day he was running a 12.8.

 

Yep, no shame in losing that one.

Time to mod the Hemi

 

I'll "attempt" to race everything... maybe that's what humbles me. lol. I have a mid-hi 12 s197 but get outdriven, out-lightweighted and just out-powered on occasions. I still have a pretty fast car, but will need to run 11's consistently to beat up on most these days...

good run skillz, no telling what mods the 500 had.

 

I wish I had the money to mod the Hemi man...I don't have the time for a job right now, too busy chasing girls and partying...haha. Maybe soon...

I thought the HEMI would take that GT500 from a roll. (LOL just kidding) I knew I was in for, I just wanted to see that thing run.
