The base TT with 180 HP is slow 0-60 7.4 and 1/4 mile @ 16.1
The 225 HP TT is a little quicker 0-60 around 6 seconds and 1/4 mile around 15 seconds. There is also a 250 HP version. I'm not sure of its numbers.

I have a V6 and have hung with one pretty well at freeway speeds (2003). Not sure of which version it was though and it was a convertible so he had some added weight. From a 40mph roll (getting onto the freeway) to 110 he only gained about a half car length on me.

Yeah, I ran one of those guys on the highway once and beat him out pretty good. I think it may have been one of the earlier models though, and they really weren't all that powerful. Normally I don't really street race anyone, but this dude had an ego for some reason and kept messing with me; I just wanted to get away from him.

You would have an ego and need to prove something too if you just dropped 40-50K on a small two seater go-cart I consider the Mercedes SLK (shoe cars), the Chrysler Crossfire (fugly), and the Audi TT (go cart) as mid-life crisis cars. Then consider that a car costing half that could whomp your butt or give you a good run for your money.
