what is a newer model gt with exhaust 1/4 mile est times........the reason i ask is i got behind one today that was pretty tricked out and he stomped the gas and ran through the gears and i was right on his *** with my 15.0 sec stock civic si i figured he would be around the low 14's?

He was probably short shifting and accelerating at half throttle. Even the autos in stock form can run high 13's. Check the street and strip forum, it's a 12 second car with just intake/tune.

Mine ran 13.8 @ 104 stock, I've seen many of them hit 13.7's bone stock. Maybe you were racing a 6 cylinder, those run 15.0's stock.

nah it was a v8 ill swear by that but also it might just be the exhaust he had but i was just wondering bc i know nothing about the new stangs

Still possible it was V6. A lot of the V6'ers have put twin pipes out the back with a GT rear bumper. But more likely he was short shifting.

um v6's sound like sick goats with exhaust this was really loud and sounded badass ......

He was short-shifting. The puny ricers with their unpainted body panels and 8-foot wings think I'm revving hard and launching briskly when I blip the throttle to 2000 rpm to get moving from a stop light. They'll get into the lane next to me as I'm shifting into 2nd at 3500 rpm, then they'll "mash" it and think they've scored a kill as I'm shifting into 3rd at 3000 rpm...

they sure are, see sig for evidence. i was 19 when i ran that time (i'm 20 now).............can't be that hard
