Ok I had a Chevrolet SSR try to jump ahead of me today at a red light and I mean he put the pedal to the floor and this thing started screaming so right when I seen his truck jump I put my pedal to the floor and I flew up next to him my car shifted and then left him.... Yea its a truck but people say the 4.0's are truck engines so why not take on another truck then at the next light he was smiling at me and we did it again and I left him again... then I see online that thing is putting out 390 hp is that surprising that my 4.0 with only a CAI added to it can do that?? Either way that was pretty fun I never hit the gas like that is my stang till today I was pretty proud even though it was a truck.

 

prob an 03-04 they had 300hp but ran an avreage of low 16-high 15's. so it would've been a close race. sorry have to call BS on you "leaving him" edging him out yes. walking him? no

Good kill. I've always kind of liked those SSR's. I actually got to ride in one. They ride more like a car than a truck. It wasn't that fast, maybe slightly faster than my 95 when it was stock. I will say that Chevy got the exhaust note perfect on those SSR's.

 

Thats fine that you call bs I mean I think I left him being it was 2 city block which is maybe .15 of a mile and he hit the gas before me and when I hit the gas I pulled up right behind his mirror then the car shifted and I pulled about a car length ahead pretty fast so if thats not leaving I will stand corrected I am excited its my first stang and the first time I ever got in any kind of race and I won thats all that matters to me. oh and about the 05+ raping me they stopped making them in 05 didn't they? so there is no + and the 05's were putting out 390hp from the chevy site so I doubt they really put that out so I don't know if the 2005's would have raped me edge me out maybe not leave

I wanted to share my fun times with the forums I am not a racer I will mod my car more and more to make it faster but not to go race just to have fun with it and there really isn't anywhere else on the forums to post this other than in street/strip.......

 

No, not because you posted a race with a truck. Because you claim to have run it down with a V6 Mustang. Come on man...You put 2 blocks on a truck that runs 13.90's-14.1's with a 15 second Mustang? It's not that nobody believes that you got around him, but it's 100% more likely that he left the light aggressively, and didn't actually floor it.

 

LMAO!! I never ever in my whole post said I ran it down and put 2 blocks on that truck.... Can you read?? I said the race was 2 blocks which was about .15 of a mile we raced at one light then when we both stopped at the next light I had beat him and he pulled up next to me again and was smiling, then we raced again and I was ahead of him again please next time read the very first post and you won't mistake what I said. I love how someone can't just post something that was fun without getting ripped...... I won't post anything that happens on the street anymore if that would help I mean s**t.

Racing a truck is easy? Tell that to the guy in the 12 sec 4X4 who wooped my butt or any Lightning owner

 

Man I get on here in the morning when I get to work and then at my lunch and every time since I posted the thing there is someone acting like i'm some idiot making up a story maybe the guy was messing with me if you read my whole post I said can a 4.0 with only a CAI really beat the truck I though it was a fast a@# truck I didn't think I would beat him but the first light I pulled ahead by a car length and then when the next light on the 2nd block I pulled ahead at green and then he was right at my back end maybe he was playing maybe he was trying and my car really beat him I don't know it was my first time every racing someone in the thing I have had the car for a little over a month and its only been a week without snow I have no clue how fast the car is against anything other than this truck that I beat to a traffic light!

If the SSR was a 2003-04 it's slower than a 2005 mustang which would show you I'm not lying about it also so here is what I found. I think the fastest I went during the 2 different times was 50mph
