Took down a Porsche
Today on my way to a buddy's house to install new brakes on his S197 GT, I ran into a Yellow Porsche.
From what I can tell, this was a slightly newer model, and was a 911 Turbo....(I think so...)
We started from a dead stop, and slowly accelerated. After about 10 MPH he gunned it with me at his back bumper. I followed pursuit. At the end of this race, I managed to stay on his *** and pullied, but we were forced to hit the brakes hard.
Traction was a serious problem, I roasted the tires through 1st, 2nd and part of 3rd....Yeah, that's what I said.
The second race, he pulls next to me, and tells me he used to own an 03/04 Cobra before he bought the Porsche. The guy was really nice. He then said I should beat him if I had traction. We both know traction was not really an option for me on street tires with over 500 TQ.
Second race goes, we start off almost right next to each other. He hits it, I follow him. This time, I got better traction, as I feathered the gas a bit.
Aftermath, I hit 4th gear, and was a half car-a car ahead and pulling. We slowed down, and he turned off and waved.
Awesome guy, and I am very proud of my Cobra. I'm glad it can keep up with a car like that.
I thought I would share. Thanks for reading guys....

Def was. I was shocked at the turnout, but I am kind of familiar with what those cars and do, and it sounds about right. I def. would not walk one, unless I either had weight reduction or a Ported Blower.
For the record, so people don't call BS.
My 2003 Cobra makes 462 RWHP and 486 RWTQ, has a ton of cooling mods, suspension, and other supporting mods. Just running on the Street tires for now.

good kill grabber, is fun when you race a car of that caliber, i raced my friends carrera 4s like two weeks ago and like you said traction its a problem, i sprayed on 2nd and 3rd gear and traction was a bitch, beat him badly though.
