Had a quick little run in with a c5 vert on my way home from playing some bball. pulled up next to him, gave it some gas to let him know i wanted some. he caught back up, actually got in front of me, as we waited for traffic to clear. he punched it while i was still in 5th gear, i downshifted to 4th and punched it. he was probably a good 5-6 cars up on me when i downshifted. i should have downshifted to 3rd, but i was running my fun tune lol. since it only upped the rpm to about 2800rpm (75mph or so) it took a while to reel him in. right when i was getting up on his bumper i was getting in the power band and really started moving. traffic came up and i had to slow it down (jeebus, i had to be doing 130-140).

so not exactly a kill, but from a 6+ car headstart already on wot, for me to catch him and about to blow his doors off was fun lol.


by the way the fun tune is the 410rwhp tune, not the race 454rwhp tune.

 

i love your car, i had a 6 on n2o and loved it, there's just something about beating v8s with it that is so gratifying

The day my nitrous was installed i was coming home, and a yellow C5 Z06 pulls out, and immediately get up next to me. We go at it (about 30-100 or so) and he jumps me, so he get's a length on me.

The funny thing was that was it though... i stayed right on his bumper... he wasn't gaining... i wasn't pulling.

Gave each other the thumbs up. Cool guy!

No way you can get rid of this car fazm, if you're even still thinking about it. I know you've had a fit with rears/trannys/everything else, but obviously you have the knowledge/patience/coin to put up with it. Thats gotta be just fun as hell, to be one of the most unsuspecting sleepers on the road, anywhere.
