Default Bracket win by a nose

Well a bit more than a nose. I took about 4' of stripe. I was the slower car and being chased down by the chevelle. A friend took the finish line picture.

Win by a bumper, who goes to the next round. I have beaten dedicated track cars and I've been parked next to the trailer. I'm on my way home in 2 mins after racing is done, he has to put the car in the trailer, put his tool box away, blah, blah, blah.

My favorite was a guy who showed up with some high 15 sec rice thing on a trailer.

Wow, those are the best kind there. When you can look over and see your opponents face (or helmet). I am anxiously awaiting the tracks to open up here, and then need school to end...I will be racing again in about a month.

How's the sport/compact/Mustang running? Done anything to it over the winter? I still like that story you told me about them not letting you run in the S/C division....lol.

PS. If you don't mind a bit of a hike across the border, www.stthomasdragway.com is usually open this weekend. Lots of ricers to beat up on there. Most are street cars.

I haven't so much as looked at the car this winter. Finally got a manifold that will let me mount the Holset, so maybe at some point I could see at least low 13's, possibly dipping into the 12's is the end goal.

The tracks open up here in a week or two, but I try to put off the visits until college is out. Just one less distraction...as sad as it makes me.

make sure you beef the clutch, that's the weak point on those cars. The worst thing is to drive your car to the track and bring it home on a hook.

Eh, i'm close enough to home at the track that it doesn't bother me too horribly much. I will wait until I toast it first

I guess that's an advantage. If I go to Norwalk, I'm 2 1/2 hr drive from home. Kind of difficult with a pooched clutch.
