Well tonight i go out to see whats going on and see friends on the drag, and found my friend in his 5.0 stang with the hood up saying car wasn't running right so we talked a little and then left. Well on the way home i made another cruise through the local drag seeing ls1's being slightly retarded doing donuts in the target parking lot right across from sonic and we have sherrifs over there. Well kid left and that was that. Well i pass ls1's, gt's, fast cars and nobody wants to run we just wave say hey and drive off but when i see a ricer always wants to rev and run v6 camaro's and birds, v6 stangs and big heavy trucks that hardly run. Well tonight i am at the light and this firebird sits there as the light turns green and after i get through the intersection he comes flying by me i shake my head and then here comes the cop. Very funny, i saw him behind me two cars back. Second was a red v6 firebird and the light changed and i started cruising normally and then he floors it and pulls a nose so then i give it some gas to stay even short shift to second, floor it and pulled him and got him by a car length before hitting the speed limit of 40. Then the kid does a ricer flyby and slams on the breaks and turns flashers on. I laugh and then he turns. Anybody else ever have these problems, no v8's want to run but those 4 bangers and v6's want to all the time. Oh yeah, friday night we had a mustang cruise, there was 20 of us here in midland. Pretty sweet.

 

it's the complete opposite for me now. before only ricers would want to run me, now when i sit next to them and they hear that whistle, they don't want to run. now i get stangs, vettes & maros wanting to have a go. oh, that wasn't a flyby, most people don't race up to just 40mph. how was he going to know you were stopping at just 40? a flyby would have been you winning by like 4-5 cars and started breaking, THEN he flew by you.

 

i was on stateline last night, and a 6 cyl rolls up next to me and just punches it and keeps going. stateline is SUPER CROWDED on friday and sat night, if i would have raced him i would have hit the car in front of me in like 3 seconds. but yeah i get a lot of 6ers trying to race. a grand am passed me going the opposite direction a week ago and reved at me. i know i could beat him because i used to own one, assuming hes all stock
