hey not to thread jack, but what kinda times is a 89CRX with a b16a swap 5speed looking at? its basically stock
mid to low 14's, maybe a real high 13 if it hooks. my buddies B16 CRX went a 14.01@101mph, off a 1.93 '60. i think he had an LS transmission too (iirc, i'm not really caught up on Honda's, even though i'm starting to save up for a blower for mine)
lol... and you were talking so much ****... he would of dusted you if he got traction or if yall raced to a higher speed lol
lol I know, right?
(-:
that car was simply ridiculous at the track... full slicks, 24psi.. damn!
I actually did beat him fair and square twice in a row on the street when he really couldn't hook for squat. Though on the last few runs it was pretty clear it was no ordinary civic. He flew past me at 120 after I had a good 3-4 car lead.

Why don't you just get a small turbo instead of a blower? Better bet for sure, even for AutoX, at least I think so. Then, if you ever want to get out of Auto X, you can upgrade a few components and get a lot more power easier than with the SC.

better tq curve, i don't have to wait till 6k rpm for peak boost. D-series engines with the JRSC have put down peak tq as early as 4500rpm, which is good for auto-x. plus it's a little more reliable and easier to install and run, without destroying my gas mileage too much.

You should still get a nice small turbo that peaks at like 3k... Turbo's make more torque than Superchargers ;-)
i would acarzt, but then i have to deal with crappy gas mileage. (my Civic on the highway runs at 3200rpm) the turbo would be in almost constant spool, plus i like having power on demand. i'm have to wait for it to spool when racing which would cost me time.

Makes you wonder then how a GTI can make peak TQ from 1,800RPMs all the way to 5,000 RPMs while returning 31mpg... Dude, turbo's are very efficient lol There is a reason why very few people use S/Cs on small engines. With a Turbo, you can turn the boost way down or way up depending on what kind of driving you want to do. Do yourself a favor and get a turbo lol
