My friend has a 2008 ls3 m6 with vararam intake (no tune).



e92 m3. around 70mph roll, the ls3 instantly pulled the e92 m3. I didn't expect such a strong pull especially against the new e92.


e60 m5. Race started at about 70 mph ended at 115-120, with the ls3 in front by about 1.5-2 cars before they shut off.


Do these results seem right.


The BMW M3 was m6
THE BMW 5 was auto.

Both BMW's were stock no passenger. Ls3 had 1 passenger me (180)

 

That sounds about right, isn't the M5 like 500hp in M mode? That would make it a pretty good race with the Vette from a roll. The M3 race doesn't really surprise me a whole lot because it doesn't have a lot of torque compared to the C6.

 

Yea the E92/93 M3's have less than 300 lb. ft. of torque, with 420 bhp but still ~3600 lbs. The Vette easily makes that up in power:weight.

I like how they look though the quad tip exhaust looks nice which is a good differentiation between the M and the normal 3 or 5 series.

 

Dude...haven't you figured it out yet? The only thing that can beat an LS anything, is another LSx. I thought everyone got this years ago.

 

Ls3 is a badass engine, especially in the C6. I love the new M3's look though. I'd be all over one if I wasn't a poor S.O.B.

 

The only complaint I have about the new M3 is that they are EVERYWHERE around here. I mean a total dime a dozen. I actually see less Corvettes than I do M3s it seems like, haha. Most are driven by trophy wives too.

I'd still rather have a Z06 over a new M3!

 

Weird, I hardly ever see M3's or M5's around here...guess it all depends on the location. I wouldn't mind having an M3

 

I see a lot of both around here, I swear I saw more corvettes driving around on Sunday then any other car

(Its also finnaly nice out here so all the sports cars are comming back out)
