Unhappy 14.23, driver mod?

Okay, just got back from my first time @ the track. Current mods listed in sig. I made 4 passes, the first was a throw away because I babied it just to get a feel for the whole making a pass thing, but my times looked like this: 14.55, 14.29, 16.72, those are in order. So, I know I improved, plus with the air cooling down, but isn't 14.29 still pathetic or is that par until I really get into this. I saw other GTs making 14.00-13.90 passes with not a whole lot else than me, unless they weren't telling it all. Do I still have some work to do or just live with it until I can mod it further?
Also, my last pass, I broke traction off the line, had the car going sideways. Also, my car is an auto so I launched about 1500, give or take, I stop looking to watch the tree drop. Also, my 4.10s are going in next week, so I know I will see another improvement, but I just thought with my current mods I would have been in the 14.10's, at least. Let me know what you think.

Edit: changed last run times.

make sure you have some decent tire's with the 4.10's'

i think you can hit some upper 13's once you get use to the hole process.

Okay, so I am striking the last run. I looked at the slip again. 14.23 was the 1000ft. I ran a 16.72 on the last run where I broke traction. Okay, so my best run looked like this:

R/T .175
60' 2.078
1/8 9.17
MPH 77.45
1/4 14.29
MPH 94.98

outside temp was like 75F, no idea on pressure, humidity or track temps. I raced @ MIR in Budds Creek MD.

Yea right ROTM. Are you racing at Cecil or MIR? Both good tracks! Might want to look the car over check your plugs, timing etc. MPH does seam a little low.

I looked up the weather for your track and plugged the conditions in, the DA was only like 600 something feet. Humidity was high, but not enough to account for that slow. How were you shifting, at what rpm?

I would have expected it to be a tad faster.
