Yesterday I was on my way home in the pouring rain and a new Quad Cab F350 was sitting next to me at a light. I start to take off and he is keeping up right off the line... I stayed in first and pushed as much as I dared on the gas pedal until around 20mph and short shifted to 3rd but didn't dare release the clutch fast or give it much more gas. Soon enough he starts to march past me WOT and then hits the brakes. A decisive victory for the Ford. Once I had realized what happened I hung my head in shame... well played sir.


Cliff notes: F350 thought I was racing him and wasted me in the rain.

haha, the rain always brings out the guys who "race" faster cars. Happens to me every time, and I just let them take off like you did.

Same thing applies when I'm in the Denali or Trooper, everyone and their Mom wants to race (I had 3 "races" in the Denali this weekend... **** is stupid lol)

 

I can't believe you let him win lol. j/k, that happens all the time to me. Last friday I got beat by an accord with a fart can. I was stuck b/t two trucks pulling car trailers (we were all headed to the local track) and he flies by me in the slow lane, drops back, gets in front of me, then turns on his flashers...he killed me.

BTW...I hate rice!

Who races in the rain? He probably was in 4wheel drive so he could accelerate without loosing traction. I wouldn't call this a loss, don't sweat this one.
