Default My Notch vs. Crossfire

I was coming home from a local cruise night tonight and I noticed a Crossfire behind me (Not an SRT6 one either, not that it would matter LOL). So we are at a light and see two younger dudes in it and I can tell the passenger is kinda checking out my car, I see him pointing at it and then kinda laughing. So we take off and the road goes from one lane to two and see him try and get a running start to come around me. I was in 4th gear doing about 45 mph so I just left it there and floored it. I stopped his pull in a nano second and then proceeded to put a couple of bus lengths on him. At this point I thought he was going to hang back, but nope, he gets behind me and kind rides my *** for a bit and then swings out to pass again. We are doing around 45-50 again, but this time I decided to drop it into 3rd. This time I pulled on him HARD, while smoking the tires in third, after I shifted 4th I let out and he stayed WAAAAYYYYY back. Eventually we get into town and the guys would not even look over. I thought we were just having fun, they can't have thought they actually had a chance.

Vortech V2SQ @15 psi, ported heads, Edelbrock intake, cam, 3.73 gear, long tubes, all the usual supporting mods and a bunch of road race suspension stuff. I have not had it at the track yet, but it did put down 397 rwhp on a Mustang Dyno.

I am having a blast with the car. I don't get a chance to drive it all that often due to kids, work, etc and lately when I could take it out it has been raining. While it won't run the ET that my old SS did (that car just went 11.4 @ 117 the other day, a new best), the Notch will out MPH it and it is much more fun to drive on the street.

Awesome kill JD! It's weird for me too seeing you drive a Ford haha, but I'm glad you're enjoying it! Do you miss your old car at all?

I don't miss it at all actually. I don't get attached to cars, I have owned so many that I see them almost like a commodity. If I sell one I know I will pick up another one that is just as fun and cool.

I know exactly how you feel. I missed my first WRX a little bit, but since then I've been through so many vehicles that it's like trying to remember all of the girls you've been with :P
