Default Holy Trailblazer SS Batman!!

First of all my apologies to azcart for picking on him about always getting into street races... :-) ...had I know what would happen to me later in the day I probably wouldn't have said it.

So, I'm on the feeder road (small 2 lane road along side the highway for those that don't know what they are) and I see a new body style Trailblazer SS coming up along side of me. Well he gets up to me pretty quick and then slows down as he's along side of me. He looks over and smiles and so I drop it into 2nd. I'm probably around 4k rpms and he makes the first move. Well neither of us made any progress... it seemed like we were accelerating at exactly the same speed. All the way through 2nd, 3rd and then I shifted into fourth and gapped him by (maybe) a bumper before he let off.

We slow back down, he gives me the thumbs up and I return the favor. We both get on the highway and frankly, I was a bit stunned. I had no idea they were that quick. As we get on the highway he guns it and passes me... if they sound like that stock then I'm getting one! I can only assume he had some work done to it, because it sounded like a beast and was pretty darn fast.

Either way, first time I've had a 'run' on the street in quite a while... and was surprised by the result!

I'm almost positive he'd need at least a handful of mods to keep up with you like that. I know they're good for 13s stock, but I can't imagine them trapping over 105 mph. I just looked around the average trap for a stocker is like 101-103 from what I'm seeing so he definitely had something done.

If you think the TBSS is fast try runnin a Grand Cherokee SRT8, they are beasts. They not only accelerate well but braking and handling is also excellent.

the TBSS has become the modern day IROC around here. they are ALWAYS driven by late 30something to early 40somethings and they all have wheels and exhaust. TBSS owners around here are the new "retards out cruizin". also, it seems that EVERY greasy *** 7-11 owner in the area drives a tinted out TBSS...

They are few and far between around here. I like them a lot. Anyway, good run OP. Those things mod very well, so he could of had anything done and it would make a big difference.

Thanks guys, it was definitely a fun run... I guess it was a win, but I'd be fine calling it a draw. :-)

I saw him again today, same place but was in the family hauler with the wife and daughter. There is no way that thing can be stock, he was just accelerating normally and it sounded pretty aggressive and loud. I didn't hear him idle, but wouldn't be surprised if he had a cam or something.

Yep.

I think he must have had some work done because your car should trap 4-5mph faster.
