I was making a turn into a right lane next to the highway, when a new Dodge charger R/T went right next to me, coming in from the other "only" lane. He floored it right as he was next to me, I let him get about one and a half/two cars on me before I got on it(going about 45). Surprisingly, we stayed about even until about 110 or so, and I started reeling him in pretty hard closing the gap by like a car or so. I had to let off because of approaching a long turn.

Not bad. I was pretty sure I was gonna reel him in right as I got on it. He merged onto the highway after wards, I thought about going after him for an actual roll race but from the looks of things, I would have pulled pretty easily in a heads up race...


yeah, not that exciting... I know, streets have been empty lately.

How do you know it wasn't the older 340hp 5.7L? The new 368hp versions actually traps higher then the '10 GT, so with that said, I think it would pull on you.

I'm assuming you are stock since you didn't list any mods.

Considering the lengths advantage I gave him, and judging by how quickly I was closing the gap at starting around 80 or so and when I let off around 110, I am pretty sure that in a heads up roll race I would have taken him right as I go WOT. Not by much, I'd say about two cars til 110 or so then the GT would pull up top. The 4.10s LOVE high speed.

I raced an 08 Daytona R/T with intake/tune/exhaust and we were head to head til about 80, then I pulled real hard in the top end by two cars. I was only intake/tune back then, stock crappy 3.31 gears (auto)

Faster then what I expected...


Oh yeah, the one I just raced still had the temp tags/paper on the rear window lol.

Well, at least you got some action. I haven't seen any action in a while. I had a kid in an SRT-4 blow off at me on Tuesday, but there was no where to run, and on Monday some other guy in a N/A eclipse with some crappy exhuast rev'd at me and then passed me agressively, again, no where to run, and had my Mom in the car. Then, the weekend before last I left my buddies house to see if I could find something on the highway, it was completely dead. My other friend left at about the same time to go home and not looking for anything, and ended up getting to race an RX-7. Owell.

 

lol Glad I wasn't the only one living in a place where there was no action lately...

usually the summers are packed with ricers, musclecars and bikers. This summer has been so tame compared to the recent years.

Oh well, heading to the track tommorrow. Hopefully someone else shows up other then me and two other cars like one time lol.

 

Damn you pulling top end on a charger RT with yur auto and 4.10's must suck for them. Their top end must really suck then. Always good to get some action tho.

none.. the owner didn't think it was worth the time, so they closed up shop. It was me, 05 STI and a Camaro SS.

We were sitting in line for tech inspection and they decided to close up. We did however get credit for a free day of our choice!
