Ran a C5 Z06
Well, here was an other race with unexpected results for me...
It definitely LOOKED like a C5 Z06. There were 2 guys in it. The driver looked over and laughed. We got an opening in traffic, I looked over at him and lunged forward to see if he'd go. I heard him start to get on it and I punched it... We stayed mostly even and I slowly pulled ahead of him from 65 to about 100. The we slowed down. He drove past and wouldn't even look at me and he Immediately got over and exited lol
Now, I KNOW that I should not have beaten this car... They have 385-400hp and weigh less. The car had the Z06 badge and those weird little plastic looking black vents at the rear. It's possible it was just a normal C5 made to look like a Z06, but I don't see the point. I wasn't expecting it to be a Z06 anyway... I just wanted to run a normal Stock C5 to see how i'd do.

Yea, I think Ranger ran one to a mid 11 pass, bone stock. Something stupid like that. Did his car look like mine, at least the rear of it, as mentioned the FRC style.

Older Vette with body kit, very common around here
I caught 2 guys doing EXACTLY this with a FAKE Z06 badge, I called their bluff and asked to run, the driver looked VERY NERVOUS, as if he knew he didn't have it under the hood, said he was ok, didn't want to.
But they spent a ton on a NEW PAINT JOB AND BODY KIT, to look like a Z06, but didn't touch the engine
sad.
