Pontiac GTP's
Been seeing alot of guys around town that have Pontiac GTP's. Id say 2001's or somewhere close. They drive them like they are pretty tough. Never lined up with one yet but can someone shed some light on this car? Worth lining up with?
I think if you ran across a mildly modded gtp, it might end up being a decent/drivers race. Im not sure which, but certain years were a little quicker then others, iirc.
With a pulley swap and other boltons they might be knocking on 13's door. As you sit, if you're an average driver, you're right there too, low 14's, maybe a real high 13. Its worth a shot, get it on some sorta recording device too please

good looking out to the reply. I live in a college town or u can say UNOH. Northwestern so there are tons of high performance students every year..and im positive they all go there so im sure they are bolting stuff on. But i would like to line up with one just for sh**s and gits.
Stock to stock, you'll smoke him. He'll need several bolt ons (or a pulley swap) to be on par, or faster than you.
Reason i say this is because when i first got my stang (it was bone stock) i raced my buddy's stock 2001 GTP several times, and beat him pretty good.

We talking S/C 3800 Grand Prixes or G6's? Im assuming GP's based on your model year, they can be quick when modded correctly like 97 was saying...
They even put the LS4 5.3 in some of the newer GP's but they were badged GXP, I do believe. And I like the Bonneville GXP (4.6 32V) the best out of the recent PMD front drivers, just thought I'd share haha.
Run 'em because you never know lol

The GXP's are quick little sedans. I drove one at Bondurant(didn't know manual at the time) and it had some grunt. Good torque overwhelmed the front tires. I beleive the GXP's run 14.2's@99, while the S/C GTP's run 15.0@93.
