Hung with an LS1
Comin home the other night from DD'n, caught a light with 01 or 02(couldnt tell what year, but fairly new) Camaro SS. He gritted on me, then gave me "the nod." I got him off the line, and through second, and most of third. As soon as I shifted to fourth, he put about a car and a half on me. He gave me a thumbs up when he turned off. I guess you could say he kicked my butt..either way, im happy. When I raced one stock, I got raped. Now that I know I can hang with 'em, I def. wanna mod the car out jut a lil more. Just a few more bolt-onsto go...
If he was into 4th gear he was doing about 105 or better supposing he ran each gear all the way out. That means the 1/4 mile is over and he would have won.
Thats if he has a 99-04 GT. Top of third gear is about 103 so just into fourth would have been atleats 105. Good run man.

My buddy (old roommate) has a 2002 WS6 M6 and Ive driven it on a few occasions and my conclusion is that it takes SO long for a stock LS1 to wind up and get into its powerband. Nothing like the way the 4.6 revs over.
