I can't believe it. It's the first time this has happened to me in the year and a half I've had the Civic.

I got revved on last night. lol

Minding my own business doing 45 in a 45 while smoking a cigarette I pull along this mid 90s base model Lumina. He puts it in neutral and starts revving the **** out of that pansy 3.4 V6.

Knowing that I had two beers in me, and that it was 11:30 at night... I ignored him. (No, I wasn't drunk or even slightly buzzing... but I don't leave my license to chance).

He couldn't have picked a worse time or a worse place to try to pick a race with me. Right in the middle of the east side of town before the Coliseum cloverleaf. aka... cop ville.

As we go through town he kept flying off, slowing down and getting next to me and getting back on it. We got to the bridge over the railroad and I had had enough. I dropped to third and floored it, for about a half second. lol

From 45 I pulled to and let right off at 55 and he went FLYING by me and continued doing at least 55-60 through New Haven while I just held my speed back down to 45 and calmly drove through town... which is infested with cops who hate street racing even more than Fort Wayne cops. Only reason I even did that was because I was hoping there was a cop sitting up there so I could watch him get pulled... but no luck.

I wish I had followed him home just so I could have told him that I would of handed him his *** going from anywhere between a 40-60 roll. I know those 3.4s, and I know I waxed my friends Grand Am GT with more power and torque.

Ya gotta love power to weight ratios and short gearing.

Nice... the newest ciovics are growing on me.. I think they have a sport package or something? The ones with the wheels that have a ****load of spokes?

I think 2000si is used to those 1 sec races as it takes about that long for most cars to but many can lengths on him
