Ford Racing Engineers are in the final stages of development on the 2010 Cobra Jet. Their Mission: To deliver the best possible production drag race vehicle and have continual improvement over the 2008 model. Stocked with a 2010 power train, this 2008-bodied mule is being used to test the new aluminum 5.4L in the 2010. The vehicle is equipped with 10.5" tires and a modified C4 transmission. This was the first run with the new configuration and it was a bit of a surprise to everyone.
has the TT been confirmed from a good reliable inside source? In the past they have steered away from TT in cars due to the extra cost.. if anything a single turbo maybe, but a S/C would be most likely still.. would be nice if they actually started with a good s/c though.. I wonder how much the S/c they are using now cost them? 1500-2000 a piece? (figure massive bulk deal at nearly cost to make) vs the cost of 2 turbos and the piping.. hmm..

They mention it in here, not sure if its been "confirmed" though

yeah, no confirmation, but IMO if the SHO holds it's own against "the world" as it is doing quite well running in the 12's with the TT v6 setup, it would most definitely be a consideration. honestly though i would rather see the Aluminum 5.4 vs the TT 5.0 in 2000 the cobra R did 385/385 in 01-02 Boss 330 racing (Al papito) made well over 400rwhp n/a 5.4 his last attempt has him damn near the 10's i believe with a N/A 5.4 in a 96 cobra
