got to run a 370Z
So my friends older brother traded in his 08 350Z, for a new 370Z. He's been talking all this **** about how fast his car is, and even on the nitrous I don't stand a chance. At this point, I really don't know how it will stack up so I suggest we run em from a dig first, then a roll. We go to out local spot, and line up. I heat up the Mickey's with a decent burnout and tell him to honk off the three. I get a decent jump off the line because I'm assuming he spun, but I easily got like 3-3.5 lengths and held him to about 2.5-3 by the time we hit 110-120. He said he wants to go from a roll, I agree, and we get side by side at 30-35mph, and again he honks off the three. I spray as soon as I hear the third honk and pull a good 2-2.5 length lead on him almost instantly. By the time we get to about 120, he has crept up to about 1-1.5 lengths behind me. I've heard those 370Zs run low 13s at like 110 mph so I'm pretty happy with the results considering I'm just tinkering with the nitrous until I build my engine. On a side note, I finally swapped over the GT spindles and breaks and they feel much better, it was definatly worth the 2 hours. I'll be posting my mods in my garage so I don't have to keep posting them in every thread.
Well I was just going on what I've heard, I guess that i expected a little much from him. My 89 was trapping a tad under 100 mph, so I guess on the spray I should be good for 109-110 traps as long as the t5 stays together lol.
Ha, creative!
At least 110, imo.
At least 110, imo.
I've been trying to but I've had to work, and when I don't have to work, I'm busy fixing some little hiccup from the swap, and talking to the recruiters have been eating up a lot of my free time. As soon as I get a Wednesday afternoon off of work, I'm going to e-town for a test-n-tune.
I was actually really impressed with how it moved from a roll. I'm sure I could have kept more of a lead if I kept in it hard after 100 mph, I kinda let out a little. I was just happy that I showed his *** with a little juice and a decent suspension set-up my fox would wipe the floor with a lot of cars that wouldn't suspect it. Now all I need is a fresh paint job and I'll be decently happy with it.
