Default Jdan...

So you got it built yet? Have you dynoed it? If not how long untill its done and ready to go? I am just curious..

Incendentally I ran mine across a dyno for two back to backs, havent tuned it yet and the stall is all wrong (among other things its a heap lol) anyway laid down 522 ftlbs, hp was down a bit at only 400, but that was due mainly or in part to the extremely rich carb. Oh yeah, NA on 92 octane pump gas...

I really want to know how yours does, the Cobra guys here need a pick me up!

Well, I took it to Strictly in Houston and got it tuned and they heatsoaked it on the dyno and it only made 591 rwhp and 560(?) tq. They told me that it would easily break 600 if it were cooled down, so I brought it home and after a week or two after the tune I hit the dyno again, this time with a 20lb bag of ice. I left the ice on the blower for almost two hours and then I put it on the dyno and I made 642rwhp and 600 ft lbs of tq. I have a video of the dyno run but I posted it on a few Forums here in Texas where I also hang and I guess the video has made about ten trips around the world because I used 30,000 mb's of space when im only alloted 10,000mb's. LOL

What have you done to your ride?

Just built an engine, its big and ugly. Kinda along the lines of NOSMAN but bigger with more airflow. Its similar to this one, but has more cam and more cfm, otherwise pretty much the same. First few shakedown runs netted 7.40's with only 1.7 60fts. I wasnt hittin it very hard, dont need to break stuff the first time out. It should go mid 6/ mid 10 in my 3100lb car.

surprises

Sounds like you have a killer combo there, I hope you can get it to hook better than the guys around here. Most of them are stuck in the high 7's 1/8 mile, even with 500+. A bud of mine has a blowzilla on his 03, it made around 600 and it was slippin on the rollers. He hasnt broken into the 7's yet. IRS just wont take it.. Why Ford decided to put an IRS under tehre i will never understand. homologation or something silly like that I suppose.

I was in SA just last month, had to go back to Lackland for a few things. If I would have known you were in the area I would have looked you up..

Thats awsome. Sounds like an awsome ride. Im getting rid of the IRS pretty soon and throwing a 9" in it with some 40 spline axles. I will see low tens before I know it. Good luck with your car and keep the shiney side up.

As soon as I get the dyno runs from last week I will send those out. Been thinking of a new camera cuz the old one is dead, just checked it. I will take some at the track this weekend, hopefully the ricers wont be out slingin water and mud all over..
