Default The Official Crazy Street Racing Stories Thread!

Thought this would be fun since most of you are probably snowed in on the central part of the east coast. I was reminiscing about a buddy of mine's old turbo Integra today and it gave me the idea for this thread. Post up your crazy street racing stories, it doesn't necessarily have to be with you and your car, it could be a friend or acquaintance as well.

My buddy (married man who now lives down here in Charlotte with 3 kids) used to live in NoVA with me. We met through the Subaru community, but before we knew each other he had a white turbo Integra that was around 500whp. His best pass at the track was like 11.1 or so, so it was pretty stupid fast. He's kind of a crazy guy in general so he would pretty much race anyone he could. He was on the beltway in DC crushing this Civic that tried to keep racing him. The both caught the attention of the police, and the Civic pulled over. My buddy decided that he would smash the gas and go for it, but obviously the cop radio'd for assistance. Apparently there were police waiting for him at most of the exits, but he managed to make it to the Dulles Toll Road.

Unfortunately for him, the DC police decided to send a helicopter after him before he left the beltway. As soon as he hit the Toll Road he pegged it and completely outran the helicopter. He called his friends who were having a party near his house in Ashburn and they opened up their garage for him so he could pull in fast.

Also unfortunate for him, the DC police also got his license plate number. They arrested him at work the next day, and he ended up having to sell the car haha...what a bummer. But he learned his lesson. When I met him he had just gotten his license back and had a tuned bugeye WRX slammed on coilovers with white Buddy Club rims, a huge fart can and two car seats in the back :P

Was someone going to rename this thread to "Post your or someone else's felonious highway acts on the internet, where they will remain forever to be used against you in a court of law"?

Anyway, did you hear about the guy in the news the other day at the exotic car dealership? I think it was in Fl. but they sell Ferraris and Lambos etc. He took a Lambo out on the highway at 150mph....with his buddy in the passenger seat, and his face was clear as day in the video. Then he posted it up on Youtube.....and is now waiting for his felony reckless driving case to begin. He claimed he did it so show potential customers what the cars were capable of.

Pretty much every story people post in this part of the forum details stuff that you could probably get a ticket for. Some members even post up videos of it. This thread isn't going to be any different :P Just withhold names and places if it's going to stress you out.

In the case of my story, my buddy already was arrested and paid his dues.

Tell all the stories you want to, post vids, whatever. There's a reason these stories are left alone by law enforcement agencies. A story is not enough evidence to hold up in court, nor are half the vids out there. Just saying.... we would all be prosecuted by now if these stories held any water in court.

Anyway, I'm still trying to jar my memory and come up with a good one...

We just had over 20 deer come through our yard. They weren't racing, but they did come from off the street....does that count?

Hey, I had a teenager behind me at the lights in a V6 stang, right on my bumper, revving the engine. Took off full throttle when the light turned green and figured he'd stay on my bumper...but by the time I hit the 55 mph speed limit I had 10 cars on him.

What's up with that? I thought they had 200 hp? My Subie is only rated 210!

He must have spun. That's Crazy.

They started from a dig when they went over the fence.

This^^ Where is that cat anyway. He was funny.

I got a semi-crazy/different street racing story. About 3 years ago I lived a pretty good ways out in the boonies, about half way between I-95 and Myrtle Beach, SC. My brother is a paramedic in the county we lived in, and there just wasn't much going on out my way. He was working my area one day and stopped by my place in the ambulance to shoot the breeze. After cooking some breakfast, him, his partner, and myself started talking about the 2v GT I had at the time. It was an 02 5spd, with 3.73 gears, a BBK CAI, some weld in flows, and gutted cats. Pretty torquey car from a dig. His partner was telling me that the Crown Vics ran the same engine, and I tried to explain the differences to no avail. Finally, my brother said, "I think I can settle this" and made a phone call. About 20 minutes later, one of our local deputies shows up in my drive way. My road was a perfectly straight 1 mile road, with only 2 other homes on it. After some BSing, Barney Fife and I headed down to the end of the road with his cruiser and my GT. He was actually pretty confident. I honked it off and deliberately gave him about a 2 car lead. I got on it and by 40 mph, I blew right on by him. We got back to the house and he said something about me still not being able to get away from him if he was chasing me. I told him to keep dreaming, that not everyone panics and wrecks, lol. Anyway, thats my crazy street racing story. I raced a cop, hehe.
