So its been awhile since ive had my car out cause of snow/salt but today was in the low 40's and just nice out.... It has to be about 4-5 months since ive gave the car a decent wash so i decided to hit up a self-serve car wash and make a gym trip after..... With the car all washed up and all finished at the gym i head home and when i pull out onto the highway i see a red g8 gt.... So of coarse im going to see if the guy wants to play haha and it take abit to get to a spot with no traffic and where we both can line up... Finally i get next to him, bark the exhaust abit and down shift to 3rd at around 55-60.... As soon as i DS, the g8 hits it and jumps me so im at his door... I get on it asap but my clutch slips abit, so i had to let off then stab it again to try to get a better bite which i did.... after that, we were even for maybe 2 sec, then i reeled him in and put about 1.5 cars on him then i walked away to a bus length by the top of 3rd..... Didnt even go to 4th..... Im pretty sure he let off once i put the 1.5 cars on him though...... He stayed back aways then exited at the next exit..... Overall, fun race Now, i really gotta get time to install the spec in case a gxp rolls up hahaha..... Also, the g8 gt was stock......

 

Even against a GXP (slipping clutch and all) you'd run circles around it lol.

 

true, just sayin the gxp is the next up there hahaha..... i really should have said cam's or vettes lol

 

It was pretty nice in jerzeeeee today. I almost dragged the car out of the garage also. what's up with the clutch. Still on the stocker?

 

oh yea, it was nice today and better days are ahead lol yea, im still on the stock clutch and with every wot, it gets worse lol.... i have the new one..... just been to cold out to work on the car... i actually have afew things to add when it gets warmer out..... i have bmr lca's and uca to install yet too.....

 

What are you putting in? I hear spec clutchs are a nice set-up for your car.

 

yea im goin with a spec kit..... stage 3+ with a spec steel flywheel....... im cheap and insane cause im gonna try to put it in myself lol im just hopin the pedal feel isnt to rough.... you know how jersey traffic is........ hahaha

 

Nice kill! I like those G8s. I hear they can run low 13s with just a tune, not bad imo. Sounds like he did ok considering his disadvantage. He would need a good bit to keep up with you, lol.

 

yea he did..... when i finally got the damn clutch to bite we were dead even till i built up some boost..... i was surprised i didnt shake him faster lol makes me wonder how a stock gxp would run...... actually theres this hot *** girl that goes to a tanning salon by my gym... shes got a gxp with rediculous exhaust... maybe ill have a go with her soon, not just racing as well hahaha... btw stone, congrats on the new dyno #'s and new 1/4 PB!

I'd say you'd still pull pretty good on a stock GXP. If that hot chick has full exhaust and a tune though, I just wonder. I bet it would be a good one.
