Well it was the last chance to see blue run from a dead stop. On my first run I shifted to third and BLAM. Either clutch or tranny. What ever it was it was expensive! So as of today the neon is done with the drag strip Forever!!! I'm offically changing my sig to roll races rock..

Damn. Oh well, you pulled off some sick runs with her anyway. Crazy how you got away with launching on slicks so many times, then a set of street tires breaks her. Just goes to show you can't predict what a car may or may not hold.

 

Right! I was just racing for fun tonight. Not trying to run a new best or anything. I left the interior in. Left the line @ 2000RPM and the damn thing just shattered from a 2-3 upshift. Strangest thing i've ever seen but The original tranns has been on borrowed time for a while. Usally I have the money tucked away to fix it when I break stuff but it'll be setting for a month or two this time. Oh well.

 

you can't buy a durable tranny that can hang with the hard launches and tq? Or build it?
