Default Boosted Civic kill

Well, last night me and a couple friends were talking about this one guy around here who has a d16 turbo 4dr Civic, he's running 7psi of boost and has been talking **** around here claiming he can smoke mine and my buddy's Mustang GT's. Well my GT is sitting at the house with a ****ed up rear end, so I'm in my dad's 02 Avalanche Z71.

I'm on 199 in Williamsburg and come up on a Civic. 4dr, primer with a green back bumper. This thing is hilarious looking, I've never seen any body kit rear for a Civic this big. It's smoking gray smoke (never really seen that before) and has ****ed up electricals in it because when he hits the brakes, the left turn signal lights up.

I get up beside him just to see if it was him and to **** with it. And damn, sure enough it was him. We go from about a 60 roll. I punch and he does as well. We stayed dead even, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. We were ****ing dead even, and yes he was giving it all it had, sounded like a pissed off beehive beside me.

He finally gives up and slows up. I do as well, cruising along at about 70 or so, and he decides to do the ricer fly-by, as he's doing it, I lay into it, doesn't even come out of o/d and I'm right beside him again.

Needless to say, as slow as my Mustang is, I seriously doubt this heap could beat it. It can't even beat a 16-17 second 6,000 pound pickup from a roll

Yes the Avalanche was stock

You should have put this in the "Cappiest Car You've Beaten" thread.

Sad thing is, it isn't the crappiest for me. But the crappiest for the Avalanche. I figured everyone would like this thread seeing as the # of Civic owners here will soon outdo Mustang owners.

hhmmm... sounds like his car was a real pos. I hate boosted SOHCs. waste of money imo. Most boosted singles are capable of low 15's, high 14's. which is lame. & from the way you described his car.. **** I would of prolly laughed in his face, even if he had a turbo, the way his car was describe he was nothing but your average ricer.

SO your for Williamsburg... you know how far that is from Lynchburg Va?

Probably about 200 miles at the most. I think it is about 3hrs. Williamsburg is in between Richmond and Norfolk.

HELP>>>>>>>>

I'm swaping a 1990 5.0 into my wrangler and i'm curious about the vacuum and smog equipment. Mostly the valves on the passenger side fender well and how I can plug them. If I remove everythign but the EGR valve will the computer not throw a code?

Looking for some assisntance thanks

Was there a point to that outburst?

Do the Avalanches have the 5.3 or the 4.8?
