my GT vs a C6 Vette
pretty funny, when I left work last night I left at the same time as a C6 vette. we ended up at a light together along with some altima that thought he was fast. the light went green and I had to baby it off the line, dumb stock tires. I actually got off pretty good, he only got about a half a car out. from the top of 1st on I yanked. by around 110 or so he was 6-8 cars back at least so I let off.
even though he wasn't boosted or anything it was still fun. this is actually the first good race I've had since I got my stang. kinda funny, ran into the kid at work today, turns out it's his dad's vette lol. lucky kid, wish I got to drive a new vette to work when I was in high school! he was cool, he was happy to know I was boosted and that's the reason for the raping
he said the vette just had intake and exhaust. all I know is that if I wasn't boosted I would have been owned.

for some reason to me it (w/o reading the title) sounded like you raced the altima in the first paragraph.. I was thinking, wow.. thats one fast altima..

lol, yeah, reads that way I guess. the altima I guess raced too but he was so far behind you couldn't tell
the kid in the vette did ok at driving, beat me off the line since the vette had more traction. I didn't see him miss a shift or anything but I was worrying about what I was doing not what he was doing. figure we weigh the same and I've got probably 80-100whp over what he's got, not hard to see why he lost by a bunch of car lengths

maybe you yourself, and the kid. Not your cars!
that vette is 3200lb max I would say. Your car with the blower is going to be atleast 3550lbs.
so he had a 300+ pound advantage over you. My guess is with someone that can drive, the vette would be 2-3 cars back, max
