My... God...
Saw the sickest fox bodied mustang i've ever seen.
Was at the track today, was humid as all hell and the temperature was skyrocketing as well...
Anyways, pulled some crappy 13.1's @ 112 on street tires.
But everyone was running 2-5mph slower than normally...
So it was definatly a ****ty night.
Anyways, that's besides the point.
They were having some points thing on street night tonight.
Just like a seperate section where they'd let the "special" lane of cars run for whatever the hell they do.
Well, saw a good amount of wheelies and whatnot.
But one car, ONE car really caught my eye.
Was a silver notchback.
Unsure of the year, but what's that really matter [&:]. Thing looked very stock(aside from missing a driver side corner light).
Only thing that really tipped it off was the drag spoiler on the *** end of it.
He proceeds to do his burnout....Smoke pours everywhere and I hear his turbo SING!!
Blows passed the tree and backs up.
Stages, and he's off.
A bit sluggish, but he's off... He hit's about the 300ft mark and psssSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTT!
Turbo spools and he takes RIGHT off...
Doing the 1320 with a low 8 @ 180+mph...
Got a few pics on my buddy's camera and possible video too!
Ended up talking with him when it was all said and done and street night was drawing to a close.
He was getting his car into his trailer and getting out of the firesuit and whatnot and into normal clothing.
Had to tell him, his car was just simply amazing.
And asked how much boost he was running as well.
Single turbo(can't remember size) pushing 30 PSI...
Thirty.
Said he dyno'd around 1600hp!!
Found out he's also a distributor of Turbonetic kits and is a tech and whatnot.
So nabbed his number and got myself a catalog.
this thing just HAD to be seen.
Hopefully my friend gets the video up soon, but I'll keep all who are interested informed.
And this was on a Dart 302...

Been gone for a while, not sure what's going on exactly....but single turbo's usually make more power than twin turbos.
Find a host...how big is the file OB?

I have a video of both cars yours OB and the silver notch.I wouldnt say that car looked stock either it had huge wheelie bars sticking out the back and the sheet metal wing with a custom made K frame that let it sit so slammed to the ground!Ob you remember that black primered Lx last year that was out of control going down the track and used to run low 10s?That was his car but it caught on fire in florida at the line and pete was burned pretty badly. He built this car over the winter and as you can see he did a good job.... oviously
