Default Me vs 07 tuned sti

So as Im pulling out of the gym parking lot, my bro spots a black sti. Instantly its like christmas for me cause I havnt had a run with someone for awhile since my car was down for pretty much the whole month of july. I pull out, and with my luck hes waiting at a red light but it turns green and he gets to move out before me. I cut through some cars and get next to him in 3rd to give him a exhaust bark to see if he wants to play.... I hear him downshift, he starts to bring his car up then he hits it. I do the same but have to hit the brakes cause of a car moving out of his way into my way, ****er haha... But it worked out cause we both hit the next red light haha. The light turns green, we both kinda roll out then we nail it.... 1st gear were pretty much even, i hit 2nd and pull 1.5-2 cars, after half of 3rd and shut down, im up to 4 cars. So we hit another red, and he goes "what kind of supercharger?" I just say "vortech" he goes "sounds beautiful, and let me get one more run at it" So on green we go again, i let him jump me alittle but with the same results.... Anyway, it turns out i know this guys friend so i know his mods for his sti and actually the guy who tuned my car tuned his sti aswell.... I believe hes sitting around 300whp.... It also turns out my best boy is slug'in his girl now too hahaha..... Overall, nice couple of runs and its good to have the car up and running....

Nice kill. I find myself in the mindset of not realizing my car is as fast as it is. Like, I see a Corvette and because of my experience with them I'm like sweet lets run, but I see an SRT-4, Cobalt SS, STi and I instantly get a little nervous for some reason, though every single one I have run I have put multiple car lengths on.. Don't get me wrong, you can make those cars very very fast, but most people that do bolt ons to them are just low 13's high 12 second cars.

Nice run, NJ! I'm surprised he didn't try launching hard, considering he has the traction. He might of been afraid of braking something. Anyway, sweet run.... you took him down on the street, and your buddy took his girl down in the bedroom. Sucks to be that guy, lol!

yea i hear ya with that.... you gotta remember also that most, not all, people that have a turbo 4 cyclinder import or not are younger kids that have a interest in this hobby but only have the bucks to do bolts-ons with the stock turbo..... although, this guy is my age haha... hope i didnt offend BB haha

thanx stone. yea, i was kinda surprised on the first run he didnt either... the second run i asked him to roll into it, my clutch is broken in but still kinda new, which he did and thats why i let him jump his rear wheels to my fronts..... i was also kinda surprised how well he kept up for all of 1st gear, side by side.... but i have a solution for that, having 4:10's install actually tomarrow haha

Nice run. I'm actually deciding between an STI or EVO this dealership has.. They also have an AGP 50 trim Srt-4..though I want something AWD..won't rule it out until I drive it though, haha.

Naw i'm not offended. The vast majority or econoturbo4bangers are driven by people under 25. Nick kill on the subie.
Maybe when I get the new tranny in. We can line em up at the track And I can give your beast a decent run.

The 50trim will be soooo much faster but the other cars are easily better all around cars unless your willing to mod the suspension and brakes of the SRT-4.

Not too crazy about yellow, they sold the white one I wanted today. Though I know it's an Evo "thing".

Or this...

Honestly looking to get out of the Cobalt for a little something "more grown up" so the Neon sorta defeats the purpose but it being a 4dr was my number one thing in a car. Plus it's only a touch under 14K so it's tempting...

How would a set-up like this compare to your car in just straight out speed?

Already have the loan taken care of with my bank just have to see if they give me a semi decent price for the SS..

Sorry to tread jack..
