me vs 548hp 2v
wow that car sucks for the given #'s.. someone is BSing somewhere lol I agree with the guesstimate for hp numbers vs trap speed. My car made a bit over 500 wheel on the 100 shot and on my one trip to the track with the bottle i was trapping 128 bogging it off the line and on my street 17inch C5 wheels. Given a good launch and my welds on i would expect low 130 mph range. My car is also full weight with a 9 inch, i have only removed my A/C, emissions stuff and washer fluid bottle lol. Long and short, i seriously doubt those HP numbers given by the 2V.

the reason a Z06 traps so much is a combination of power lumped up high, gear ratio, aerodynamics AND weight... while the 2V may be fast, it's going to tear away from a Z06 by a car or two @ a low roll or a stop if both cars get the same traction... then come around 80-100MPH I sure the LS7 will be reeling up nice and steady on a 30RWHP + minor weight deficit.. especially if the new edge has aggressive gearing like they always seem to do
there is a lot going on after 60MPH than just power to weight ratio, plus trap speeds aren't ALWAYS a end all discussion to top end... put it this way... if a 600CC bike that traps 133MPH races a Z06 that traps 127MPH from 70MPH roll up to 170MPH I can almost guarantee you that the Z06 will be in the lead by the end of that race... the bikes trap is all it's acceleration to get to that point and after 100MPH the modest horsepower, tight gearing and rider dependant aero will start to show it's colors, regardless of weight

apparently the same day that we raced he was on the way home from the tuner and played around with a c6 z06, and according to him he edged out the z06, on the highway. i don't really believe that after seeing how i pulled away after about 80mph, and i'd think i'd be decently close with a c6 z06? I'm not really sure what they're capable of lol.
but i talked to this guys brother today a little bit and there's many rumors now that this guy's horsepower is not what he claimed. i just wish everyone was honest, he didn't seem the type that would bull**** their numbers, but then again the car didn't seem like it had 548whp either lol.

Any 500rwhp car with a weight of ~3500 and a decent gear is gonna trap near 130mph. I don't think either of you are hitting 500rwhp. Wait, I done did say that.
