Here's what's left of the motor from the E85 Beast. A new short block will be needed at least. L&M has to rip into the heads to make sure they are ok, they believe that they are but there are metal particles in the oil so they need inspection and review.

Crank is cracked,oil pump shattered, rods are heat warped, bearings are fused to crank, pistons are scored, and cyl walls scored.

 

I was recommended a horror movie once and it was the worst thing I ever did see....until this thread. Should have bought a ZR1.

When you said the oil pump was gone I lost most hope.

good thing you got a spare car to get your speed fix utnil this one's fixed. any idea how long it'll be down for?

 

Just gonna find a wrecked GT500 and grab the engine out of it? or see if you can find one for sale? that sucks you hardly got a chance to drive it. I figure that is one of those things where it would be best to just put a new engine in it so you wont have to worry, but I don't know what all was done to it. any engine upgrade mods?

Ahh sucks man I know that feeling of having a blown motor, that's some serious carnage though. Any idea what happened? Something in the tune?

no, a stock block is not strong enough for what this car was built to do.

Damn dude. I feel your pain, I just laid out 3 grand for a tranny and clutch. And im still 3 seconds slower than you are. Whos block are you going with?
