Default Nitrous installed

I finally got my nitrous installed week before last and can't seem to get it to the track to see what it will do. I am hoping for atleast 11.60's but I am running out of time to do it. I am going to try and go tomorrow night.

What kind of changes in 1/4 mile times did you guys see with a 100 shot?

With roughly the same 60ft. times, i dropped 8 tenths and gained 10 mph on the 100 shot.

I'm used to seeing high 11s. Are you spraying off the line?

depends how hard you spray and hook out of the hole.

I have had my times suffer horrible if I dont hit it hard off the line.

but a good hard launch with a 5 speed and hooking, I would say 11.5/11.4 with the automatic I would say 11.6-11.7 on a 100shot.

edit: I see your auto now, how high is your stall? wonder if it will tighten up and not flash as high on the spray.....

Yes I will be spraying off the line.

I have a 4000 stall converter.

I don't have a roll bar so I can't go any faster than an 11.50 and be legal. I'm good with that. Of course, my hubby says that once I go that fast I will want to keep getting faster. He is probably right. That is what keeps happening.

I think you have 11.5 in the bag if the car hooks.

I would talk to the manufacturer of that converter to make sure it's designed for use with nitrous.

The converter is from my husband's car. He ran it with nitrous for a whole season. He is rebuilding his car and didn't need it. He is doing a twin Turbo setup.

I'm sure I wont like having to refill the bottles either.

I haven't gotten to hit the button yet. It just hasnt worked oit to get it to the track. We also need to put it on our dyno and do some more tuning. I also need to check the gears, since we put the relocation brackets and LCAs on it you hear them whine really bad. I have Richmond 4:56's. I have read they whine. My husband says they are set up perfect and that I hear them more now because of the LCAs not having rubber bushings. All I know is it drives me crazy. Plus, the LCAs and track bar rattle BAD.

I will keep you guys posted. I wont have many more opportunities to go this year. We will see.
