Default Track times

Went to the track tonight and did a bunch of runs. My first run was my second best and was:
R/t .639
60 2.238
330 6.266
1/8 9.506@75.52
1000 12.309
1/4 14.662@95.88

My best time was the very last run of the night and i had been hot-lapping for a good 45 mins just trying out different things to see how to launch best. I ended up spinning half way through first then got traction the rest of the way and my times were:
R/T .647
60 2.27
330 6.215
1/8 9.437@75.00
1000 12.226
1/4 14.568@95.47

Previously i thought letting the car get traction was the main goal? I guess letting them spin a bit isnt so bad as i got my best time with that. My times still arnt that good but im getting closer to 14.00. Any opinions or tips? Im glad i left on a good note and im looking forward to going back. BTW there was an 05 GTO there who ran a best of what i saw figures, against me a 14.7. Figures, but he was running 15's most of the rest of the night.

Those times arent that great, but congrats on going out and trying. I assume it is hot outside cuz the gt0 should have been faster. Your car should be in the 8's in the 1/8 and high13's in the 1/4, so get that 60ft down and tell us about those 13's. Good Luck

Not quite buddy. We should have close to the same power to the ground(U may have like 5-10 more). I have frpp C-springs with 3.73's. I pulled a 1.87 on 275 falken ziex street tires at 15psi. Drop the pressure and give a lil burnout. I dont know if ur track is shatty, but mine was super sticky that night. If it is prepped right, then you should be able to get in the 2.0 at least. Good luck

I find it hard to believe that a 2.0 can come out of those tires. I didnt lower the pressure bc i forgot to bring a gauge but next time ill try that. The track is National Trails and is very nice.

Dude ya you could pull some 2.0s out of those things. I ran a 2.26 in my 2000 v6 auto with goodyear ****s on it. You can improve greatly and the convert doesnt help eigther.
