Well this isn't much of a race, but I thought I'd share it anyways since I have it on video... I took this one a while ago, but I just recently looked through my camera's hard drive. All I know about the lightning is what the guy told me at the light... he was running 20psi. I was on 9psi from the KB. It's just a quick run, 0-70ish. I had street tires which hate 400+rwhp and he was on drag radials, but the video has a lot of nice sounds in it.

Why would you be on street tires that dont grip with 400+rwhp? My street tires wont even grip well with 223whp, couldnt imagine double the power. Dont let BB see this video. He just said in another thread that racing to 60-70 is only for a teenager who owns an Evo wet dream or something moronic.

well all I know is my car can stop on a dime from 60-70 with my 4-piston brakes versus 100+ where it takes a little while. I have respect for life.

and I would never drive around on drag radials all the time. I don't have that kind of coin to keep buying tires, plus every now and then I like to take it around in the twisties. haha, I think the tires I had on there were uber cheap! but they were wide enough (275) and had great treadwear, so for daily summer use they work just fine.

If anyone should be banned, it should be you ******** jumping all over people for asking a simple question. You spend many thousands of dollars to make your car fast and then drive it on crap tires? Makes no sense to me. That would be like me buying a $6k camera body and putting a $50 lens on it. You can afford to buy all the mods to make it faster but cant afford $400 a year for tires? Who says you need drags anyways? There are several DRs that can double as street tires and last for 20k+ miles and street tires that are nearly as good as DRs for half the price. Oh, and isnt "my tires couldnt get traction so I lost this race" a ricer excuse you dumb ******** have accused me of? **** off

 

the car in the video is my old 2002 GT. I've owned this car for almost 3 years. I blew the motor on it this spring unfortunately I still have her, new stock motor without the KB and everything, but I'm having some electrical issues and have not been able to get her running past idle.

the car in my sig is a real 03 SVT cobra. I've had it since June, and I haven't got the chance to make any videos with it yet. There's snow everywhere now, but come spring time I will unleash her! haha
