Damn!

Maybe some of you older members will remember this M3, it's black with a vort. blower. I spent a night behind him in the staging lines at the track and witnessed multiple 12.8x's & quicker.

Anyways, I've ran into this guy on the street with every car I owned, my 88 Iroc-z & my 02 GT. Both times I was viciously destroyed. Anyways, when I did the rest of the mods to my 02 GT, we ran again and instead of putting bus lengths on me, he only put a bus length & a half on me and said "you're getting closer" [:@] Damn!

So now I have an 04 Cobra...I've had it for alittle over 2 weeks now and I've been looking for him and have only seen him out a few times so far. Tonight I decided to pack up the fishing gear in the Cobra and head up to the lake, didn't catch a god damn thing and figured I'd go for a ride and just relax for a while. I made a couple trips around town and caught the M3 out of the corner of my eye at an intersection and decided I wasn't going home until I caught up with him.

After a couple minutes we ended up at the same intersection, I took a left and he followed me down a road that leads off to a 2 lane highway. We finally hit the highway and he pulled out besides me and goosed it in 3rd gear, but there was a truck maybe 20 car lengths infront of me and I didn't see the purpose in running. Magically, we hit a light and the M3 shot out and switched lanes infront of the truck and let me get out besides him at the light.

First thing I said was "Oh man, not you again... what's happenin?" So we talked for a bit and the light turned green, we paced eachother evenly and I let him start it, he took off and I matched him and before I was even redlining first I had him a couple feet behind my rear bumper, shifted hard into second and proceeded to put more distance between us before I shut down at the top of 2nd. Let's not forget to mention the massive wheel hop I was going through 1st and 2nd too.

Wooooohoooooo, my goal has been to rape that M3 and I finally did Now I need to get my car to the track......

i heard those m3s were pretty quick too...nice run...have you done your pulley change yet or just the exhaust?

 

was it a dinan M3? E36 or 46?

 

Why not? It's going to be more fair. I guarentee I can outlaunch 99% of the cars that would catch me at a light on the streets here. Besides, we were going all of 10mph when he started the race.

David, it's a 97 or 98 M3 I believe. He's done a bunch of bolt ons w/the blower & some really sweet sounding exhaust work.

Have you driven a Cobra? He did mention the wheel hop! LOL Thats probably why.

Great kill, Dan. M3's are simply badass out of the box and to kill a SC'd one is even better. Congrats.

 

The wheel hop sucks, it's pretty annoying. I'd like to get some stickies and see if I can get that down to a minimum without breaking into the suspension....
