Default 66 or 67 gt vs 04 stock mach1

My friend and coworker eddie runs a black 2004 mach1 and on the way home from work we stop at this mobil about halfway between delmar ny and troy ny well friday morning a white 66 or 67 gt rolls up next to him and eddie figured he could take him but i was thinking that white pony was gonna lay the bitch smack down on that poor mach1 and i was right they went from a roll eddie actually kept pulling up to the guy so when eddie finaly took off from about a 40mph roll this dude layed into it and this white mustang had a sereisouly hard time griping the road but once she got traction it was all over for that mach1 he put like 4 cars on him at least, when it was all over we were all at mobil inculding this guy in the white classic.. he poped the hood and eddies jaw just droped, and he turned to this guy and was like "you could put a whole lot more of a wooping on me with that" and the guy just looked and smiled. just wanted to share that with yall, just cuse their old dont mean their slow.

a 70 chevelle with the 454, 4:10 optional gears and a 4speed rock crusher could pull high 13's. I think thats the best.

depends on what we consider stock or a classic. 427 SC Cobra 0-100-0 in about11 seconds, 68 Hemi Dart Super Stock, high tens from the factory, COPO Camaros mid-low 12's. But these are all limited production cars. Most cars from the 60's and early 70's were in the 14's bone stock.

There is "F.A.S.T" (FACTORY APPEARING STOCK TIRE) cars that have broke into the 10's and Fatory stock cars running in the mid 11's.

Most of the factory fastest muscle cars were only a low or mid 13. Those polyglass tires didn't do the hemi among many other high horsepower motors much justice. I think those tires alone slowed some of them down over half a second.
