ate a modded g37s
Well I was on my way to a car meet tonight with 2 of my friends, when a newer style g37s pulled up to me revving the **** out of his engine. He had an intake an exhaust, and I will admit it sounded really good, almost like one of the skylines out of the fast and furious. Anyways we get to the next light together and have open road infront of us to the next light. He asks to do a light to light at this point my friends think something was up cause the guy was laughing to his other friend (maybe a turbo or something). The light turns green and we both hit it. I have been working on my 0-60's which I got down to 4.3-4.5 so I had a GREAT launch with no tire spin off the line even with 2 friends in the car. I basically spanked the **** out of that little ricer bast@rd. Theres more!!! We end up both getting on the highway where we do a 40mph roll to about 80. Again the same outcome where he actually got the jump and I still just walked away from him. Pretty good night I may add
Nice run. My wife has an 07 G35-S, pretty quick sedan, but no match for a GT with your mods, lol. They can run high 13s pretty easily and trap in the 102 mph range. If that guy had of only known how much money he wasted buying those mods... $1200 for a cat-back that gains a whopping 9 hp! $600 twin intakes that gain 0-9 hp!
Thanks, and yeah they were pretty shocked when from a dead stop I just walked away from them. I dont think they were expecting that lol. But yeah mods for them are WAY to expensive, especially the $1200 for a decent catback. Not sure if I would want to run into one that was turboed though =X
The S models have a limited slip diff and 3.73 gears too btw... along with bigger brakes and a tighter suspension. I'd say your practice paid off on that dig run considering all he really had to do was mat it and let the car do the rest. They're light too, my wife's 4-door only weighs about 3400 lbs fully loaded.

Guess it shows the driver mod is one of the most important ;]
