So so sad, so so disappoint..

It was just the 1/8..never really got any solid runs but best run was 8.30 @ 96mph with a 2.1 60'. ET = Street tires, trap was deff hurting. I had to reduce boost in 1st and 2nd so much to get it not to jump straight to redline. 1st gear was just on spring pressure so it was ~13/14psi, 2nd was 24psi and 3rd/4th was 29psi. Really wanting to order the wot box to wot shift, the syncros don't like to be worked from 1-2 and 2-3rd so I had to granny shift and boost would drop off. Sucks but it could be worse.

A friend with a 440hp GSX blew the neck of the radiator first run, and the blue Srt-4 in the vid ended up wrecking his trans. Housing was cracked and it is stuck in 3rd. After that I decided to wait till another day to try out his slicks.

One fun run was against the last gen RX-7 that had an LS1 out of an 02 SS (LS6 intake,etc) said it was pretty stock with 4:10's. Guy said it was 2700lbs. I had a bad launch so he got a good lead out but I was reeling him in hard. He ended up beating me by a tenth but I had 8mph on him.

Looks like DOHC had a pretty good turnout out at the Bridge today. I really wish I coulda made it, but apparently working 13hrs was more important :/

This trip didn't show it, but we all know your car is a freakn beast.....

I didnt know andrew busted the case and got stuck in 3rd!! I was wondering why he was still there when i left at 9.

Even tgough you didnt have the greatest results at least you still have 2nd gear and a non leaking water pump and ran faster than a 9.98 unlikw me lol

 

Decent MPH. Gotta get them slicks on so you can use that power in first & 2nd.

 

Yeah, that's the reason I didn't try out the slicks. I was helping him get everything straight with it. Though he said he had all the parts to fix it. I mean the times were ok for street tires but I know it has more in it.

Any of those turbo Fox's make you want to fab something up?
Yeah, next time. He was using them for a bit. Though he didn't heat them up well enough. (really wasn't an ideal water box for a fwd) he ended up running worse on them. I know my car has the potential for mid 7's (maybe a TINY bit better) @ 98-100mph if I could just run straight 29psi and wot shift.

 

I know with slicks you would be in the 7s and all, but your trap shows what it has in it regardless. I still want to see that car run the 1/4 where you can ride the boost for a few more seconds.

 

Yeah, though with slicks I can run full boost in 1st and 2nd, that will make a huge diff as would being able to wot shift. I mean I was running 45% power in first and about 83% in 2nd.. Fwiw I've seen people gain 3+ 1/10 and well over 1mph with the box alone.(on a smaller S3 turbo) Blue Srt trapped 90mph out first run, a few runs later he hit 94mph with a good launch. I mean no excuses, that's what I got out of it yesterday just have to get it straight and try again. Though yes a 1/4 would be alot better. I know the 1/4 would be pretty low vs the 1/8 on streets.
