Default Really bad times!!!

All right guys im freaking pissed because i got such ****ty times when i went to the track today. My best run was 14.87 @ 71 with a 2.15 60' time. Well before i lowered my stang i ran a consistent 14.3s and now i could barely run high 14s. The weather was ok but im thinking the track was bad. Cause i had too much wheel spin in second gear and my trap speed was 75 highest. When i ran a 14.32 the speed was like 97 mph. What the hell??? Anyone have any ideas? I was pretty sure i needed drag radials in the back like Nittos or something but can tires make that much difference? Well thanks for ur help.

Uh yea tires can make that big a differance, also in most cases lowering the car will hurt it's ability to hook up, unless all the susension geometry is corrected. However in this case your trap speed is so far off that I suspect you had much better weather when you ran the 97mph. Go back later in the year on a nice cool day and see if that helps.

um you have some serious issues going on, the weather isn't going to drop your mph by 24! You're probably running out of fuel pressure on the top end, have you changed the fuel filter lately? Your down about 50hp from your previous trip.

I agree, 24 mph is HUGE. Your running out of fuel or something on the top end, your mph is too low for your ET. Are sure the track equipment is correct?

well thats the thing guys i think the track equipment was messed up cause there was an 03 GT running 15.7 and a turbo civic with 20psi running best of 14.2 and a s/c saleen running 13.8....i mean come on somethings gotta be wrong...also when i ran the last time i looked at my speedo when i crossed the 1/4 and knowing that it is about ten mph off i was going about 105 whitch is actually about 94-95...anyone ever run into **** like this? And btw i did change the fuel filters and clean the whole fuel system about 7000 miles ago...is that ok or should i change it again? I dunno the car sounded strong in the top end and felt just as fast as before ..i dunno...i think i might go back to the first track and see what i get there....

yeah, if the run felt strong to you, and seeing that this wasnt your first time at the track, id say track error.
