Default new pb 1/4 mile.

Actually I would have been very unhappy if the results were any different. I ran an actual best last fall of 14.299 on a 2.2022 60 @ 97.04.

That was with 2.73`s and the very first bama tune I could get. Since then new tunes and 3.55`s for this 3840 lbs (US131 scale) vert auto. I asked last winter what some of you thought I should run with the new gears. You all thought about 14.

Well you were almost perfect. Two runs tonight (blown engine on an skittle and a badly crunched 80`s stang) kept me from more. I`ll post the slips as soon as I can figure out how to get some contrast on them. They are really light.

1st run against a late 60`s Nova I was 14.01 on a 2.1941 60 @ 101.39.
2nd run against a S197 4.0 v6 stang was 13.95 on a 2.1814 60 @ 100.56.
( He ran a 14.83 w/ very little modding. kudos to him)

Cool and a little wheelspin on launch but I have no complaints.

just gotta work now on getting that 60' down. solid mid 13's are there if you can get that 60' down to 1.8's or so.

Thanks
US 131 Dragway (Martin) since I live in the Zoo. I lost a small amount to light wheelspin but these 3.7`s just have nothing below 3000 rpm. Getting the 60 down that far on an auto would be tough without a major change like a stall converter.

This is primairly a cruiser for Granny and I so I don`t think major is going to happen.

I did DA correct just to see and I got 13.74 @ 102.06 soo not too bad for 3800+ lbs with nothing removed and 5/8 tank of fuel and a v6.

Nice runs! I take it the coupes are considerably lighter than the convertibles? I still had no idea your car was that heavy. My SS is "only" about 700lbs heavier.

What was the DA btw?

Da was 13??. Figured out to 13.74 @ 102.06.

Weight was with my 195 lbs in the car, forgot to mention that.

Also wanted to point out last fall`s best was a DA corrected 14.303 @ 96.95 w/ 2.73`s and the 1st edition Bama tune.

So the 3.55`s and the new AM Bama tune gained me .59 second and 5.11 mph on trap. That is awsome.

I will also add the pure stock corrected was 14.632 @ 96.02. 3.55`s and tune have added 6.06 mph and subtracted .89 seconds from the 1/4 mile. That is huge!!!

Congrats on new best. Well now you can say you have a 13 second car. Sounds much cooler than a 14 second one. What a difference a couple 10ths makes.

6mph from a tune and gears is a huge difference.

how has it effected your mileage?

stall converter, and sticky tires should be next

I really don`t pay much attention to milage and because we just use this car for pleasure, the usage varies too much to establish a consistant mpg.

I do see around 27 @ 70-75 or so highway and I believe the cars computer reads 25-26 most of the time. I don`t know that there have been any big changes from stock.

I don`t see stall happening but if I continue to run this tires may.
