This guy I know has a v6 Firebird, I think he believes he can, or can at least almost race me and win...In all seriousness how much would he have to have done to even come close, how much money are we talking here...

Wait a second... Lemme get this straight... A guy in a v6 firebird thinks hes can run faster than your 04 Cobra? Ehhh, is he running a bored/stroked TT or somthin?

 

He would need alot of boost, or some other type of FI. Sounds like the guy has no idea of how fast a Cobra is, or how slow his car is.

 

HAHA! I remember when I used to be like that. I had a '74 Nove SS as a kid and I thought it was the fastest car in the world. It really wasnt compareable to anything though. LOL

 

well, i had a 96 firebird with the series II 3.8L, performance upgrade package, 5 speed, SLP intake, chip, high performance tires, and dual Flowmaster Exhaust...i could run mid 14's with it and did beat an automatic GT on one occasion.

either way, the guy is a couple tacos shy of a mexican dinner cause he would need a blower and atleast a 100+ shot of nitrous to beat your cobra and most people arent gonna invest that kind of stuff into a v6

 

i don't see this race happening. you must be lying. nobody can be that ignorant unless he has boatload of money dumped into that car. if you do race him, bring a passenger with a vid cam.

 

Actually, I have met several people as ignorant as the one mentioned in the first post of this thread. LOL We tend to call them "ricers". LOL

Isn't there a guy on here (matthockey?) running mid-13's with an all-motor V6 Stang? If so, if he introduces a FI setup to his current combo he could theoretically run mid-12's.
I personally have never seen a V6 f-body, other than a 1989 Turbo Trans Am, run a non-****ty 1/4 mile. It would have to be modded to hell and back. Properly.
