Well had a crap week, a good friend of mine died on Monday and had the family night tonight.... But after I left there I went with a friend to look at a 91 Fox Five Oh and he ended up buying it tonight for $1400 lol, but I was following him home. As I'm in my 87 and a Lime green w/ black strips 2010 SS pulls up beside me and I hear it's an auto but it did have a right loud exhaust on it. We get a little bit further up the road where the speed limit goes up some.

We are pacing each other and he's geared down so I pull it back to 3rd around 50mph (kinda low in the rpm's) He kicks it and I follow suit with me falling back to his door from the kick and gaining my ground back quickly and putting a bumper on him by the top of 3rd having to let out due to traffic.

We got out of traffics way and I pull up beside him again and he's geared down patting the gas on me; running about 45 I pull it into 3rd when I should of really gone to 2nd. He lays down on it and I had a late reaction, and my car lugging putting me at his rear tire. I run 3rd out not really gaining any ground then I pull 4th and I commence to realing him back in and letting out a bit early I had a fender on the Green Beast.
We slow down quickly and the first thing he says is "MAN YOUR CAR SOUNDS GREAT!!" lol and asked me what all was done to it so I told him, bolt on's, heads, and intake. He quickly replied yea I pretty much have the same thing I'm thinking to myself riiiiigght lol but he gave a nod and a thumbs up and headed off.

Well the next run I had just taken my buddy back to his other after dropping his stang off at his house. Just cruising down the highway just goofing off with my buddy then I relize there is a car on my azz so naturally I go OH **** speed up and get over haha. I look in my side mirror and notice the head lights and fog lights are of a GTO, he creaps up beside me and I see it's a black 6.0 Goat and at least had an exhaust and noticed it was an auto. He speeds up like a jackass and gets out a bit, so I slowly catch up to him and I thought he wanted to run from that roll witch was like 85 haha so I started to wave my hand to slow down so after about a mile or so to finally get him to slow down enough he decided to do a 20 roll.

I have no horn and he didn't bother blowing his, so I noticed he was looking at me so I counted down and was using my fingers, but I got the kick on him and he wasn't far behind following, I spin a little bit in 1st, pull 2nd and spin a toutch and I'm stroking at this point keeping an eye on my mirror watching him fall back and fall back and run 4th to the rev limiter and let out and I see him every bit of 7 cars back, and he stays into it right past me doing the "ricer flyby" and kept hualing.

If that's the one that I think is always around town, it's got a cai, o/r x-pipe, cb, and a tune. This one is black and it's an auto as well but I'll see if I can't find out tomorrow if it is.

 

Get in the right gear next time and the auto SS wont be so close!! And it seems you had the goat pretty handily, even with the hit.

And thats a crazy number on the fox..... Glad to see we're facing these Honda boys in the right direction

 

I know man I wasn't thinking about shifting down to 2nd but the I thought was gonna be a better run but I don't have to worry about shifting to the right gear for a while b/c I blew the tranny the *** up a lil bit ago....

Now the tranny..... When I had it out and appart everything in it looked good except all the 2nd gear stuff and the shift forks; so we took all the good parts out of my parts tranny and made it work along with new bearings and senchros. So with that said everything else was the same stuff I've been beating on for over a year....

I was leaving my friends house and he talked me into letting his buddy hear my car so cracked it in 1st and pedaled it out and jammed 2nd then chucked 3rd and it was pulling great for a second and BOOOOOM!!!! along with clank clank and some other really neat sounds hahaha. Not gonna lie it scared the hell out of me and sounded 10x's worse then when my rear let loose. So might go cheap and do the 4cyl tranny for now or get my dad's old tremec 3550 and replace 3rd in that...

 

20 mph roll for an auto gto is a sweet spot. i find it hard to believe a 7.9 1/8 car would put 7 cars on a gto even a stock one. you need to post vids on all these kills. seeing is believing. i am not saying you could not win ,but 7 cars.

 

haha, I know its hard to make a believer outta people sometimes, and its hard to judge lengths, but the car has quite bit more then 7.9's in it, to start. Hell, he ran 8.0's on 205 street tires! But to say he needs vids to prove these kills, another words he's pulling stories outta his azz, is as false as Buster saying roll racing isnt racing.

 

never said he was pulling stories out of his ***. if he ran a 8.0 on 205's that is very impressive. i guess 7.9 was on dr's? i am saying that a 7.9 car would beat a stock gto. i am questioning how bad the beating was. congrats on the kill and roll racing is racing.

 

OP has trapped 89 mph, 1/8th? Stock auto LS2 GTO should trap within 4 mph of that, pretty sure. Take part of the traction issue out of the equation and some good ol' powershifting, along with the GTO's untuned tranny lagging on the downshift... I could see that getting ugly. Now if the GTO had of preselected his gear ahead of time and already had his RPM up, then I think it would've easily of been more like a 2-3 car beat down, not 7.

I have a good vid of my TBSS running my wife's G35 (HR) twice from a roll. First run, she relied on the PCM to do the work and simply punched it on the 3rd honk. That run ended up getting me charged with rape, like more than 5 cars. On the 2nd run, I waited for her trans to downshift (I was already in the right gear), and we stayed side by side with her actually edging me out by a half car at 100 mph.

 

I understand what both are saying here, and in my op I did say I got the jump on him and even though he wasnt too far off from fowing suit that still cost him1-2 cars easy. I still dont know what was done other than some type of exhaust and nor do I know if he he was waiting on the ecu to do the work for him.

If i.could get videos of all my runs trust me i wish i could but the runs ins I've had lately I was by myself...

Also my buddies T/A the same night I ran my 7.9@89.61 he ran a few tenths slower but trapped 87.5 we run from a 20 roll and I put 3 1/2-4 cars on him with a even kick. The T/A probably runs better than the Goat too and it was that bad from the same roll...
