Default 08 Mustang V6 vs 2010 Camaro V6

Well me and my buddy decide to roll out and get a couple races in last night since we have never lined em up before. My car is stock and an auto and his is also stock but is a manual. First race is from a 40 mph roll, I honk it off and get a quick jump but he pulls past me to have 1 to 1 1/2 car lengths on me at 100 mph when we shut it down. Surprised I didnt get beat to bad. Figured he would have beat me alot worse, maybe he's not used to the car yet.

Second race I start right behind his rear bumper at about 25 mph and he waits for me to punch it and get ahead. Race is close all the way up to 100 and then he pulls ahead at 105 by about half a car. He started in second so thats why that was so close. Despite my *** kicking, (even though I had no chance to begin with) I still had a fun night.

Will definetly line it up again once I get full bolt ons and a tune and see how it goes then.

All in all i think you did really good. I mean you're talking 210 hp vs 300 hp right? I'm thinking a lot of it has to do with the weight difference. I raced a 2010 SS recently (no spray either) and to my surprise i beat it. Once from a dig, and once from a roll. They're just so damn heavy.

He's used to his little manual civic so Im assuming his shifting aint that great. Good enough to chirp the tires in between shifts though. Im sure if we went past 100 he would have kept pulling cus my car falls on its face at high speeds.

And to the car being heavy, Im damn sure it is because it is the fully loaded model.

Nice run dude, I have wanted to run a v6 camaro for some time now... But every one I see ends up being an SS =(

Anyway, get a tune/cai ASAP and go at it again lol!

This is one of the best examples of power to weight I've seen in a while- 312hp and 278tq on that 'maro and it got a run for its money from a 4.0! Nice work dude.

Yeah, the more I think about it the car has to be very heavy. The wheels or either 19 or 20 inches, has big subs on the doors and in the back, and the base model is like 3700 lbs so its pushing 4000 lbs I bet before a driver is in it.

Nice runs, and as said a graphic example of power/weight. 2nd run had to be bad place for him in the power curve
