was on the highway the other night and a guy in a beautiful 05 gt was meesin with me...it was dark blue with silver strips didnt sound stock...anyhow all i have done to my 2000 is 3.73 gears and some minor bolt ons but i actually pulled him...do you think the 05 just had a weak driver?

 

yea ive raced 2 and hung dead even w/both at the strip door to door on one and aboutr a fender length ahead on one w/my mods so unless we both raced we drivers than yea i guess we can hang

 

Maybe his was an auto and yours is a manual??

about 2wks ago in middle america i ran with a beautiful '03 or '04 GT on the highway and we were dead even. wasn't a 3 honks and go or anything, so a real stretch to call it a race. in any event, i certainly wasn't walking the guy. while moving along in the left lane, we ran across another '05 GT. i pulled up next to him, reved, pointed, etc. indicating i wanted to run, but he would have none of it. bummer.

 

I ran an '05 from a dig and baaarely pulled on him, if that tells you anything. I run 13.3 @ 106.

 

this was in So. Cal, i have a manual...shorty headers, off road h pipe, 2chamber flows, bbk intake, mass airflow, and 373 gears and i walked him...but damn his car looked great the rims he had fit the wheel well perfectly, he had at least exhaust done. i need to do more mods to my 2000 cuz im tired of only falling into races when im in my 2000...i go cruisin in my 64.5 and can never find a race

 

'05s are slow, especially autos. Some of the '05s are slower than others. I think it is the computer. I know people who ran 14.5 to 14.7 bone stock in an auto and I ran 13.9 bone stock with the auto. The times vary alot from what I have seen.
