Kerns vs 392 Challenger

Yep, pretty much. If you are a .5 second faster car in the 1/4 mile and they get the jump on you, that .5 seconds it takes for you to react is probably enough to hold you off from 40-120mph. You really have to be faster than a car for it to get the jump on you and then pull on on them.

Yea..you have to be a lot faster, lol.

Yea, thats the point...that 5-7 mph doesnt mean much if the slower car gets a jump.
I doubt it has any mods, those cars respond very well to small mods....probably because its such a big motor.
Im talking like 1/2 second from an intake and tune.

Eh, my wife's 07 (HR) G35 is about 5-7 mph slower than me, and when we ran I let her leave on the 2nd honk, I left on the 3rd... and there's no doubt it took me a few seconds to catch back up, but when I did it I train wrecked her ***. From 40 to 100ish it was bad. Got a vid of it.

Which is why in this situation, were talking about a car that traps 117-118 vs one that traps 110-112 so I would think it would be a lot harder to catch that slower car in this situation vs yours with 108 mph car catching 102 mph car.
that high 13 second car is very quick to run out of steam up top compared to a car that is trapping 110-112
I just think its a different race when its high 13s vs high 12s then if it was high 11s vs high 12s
