Default First street kill in the SN95

Was at the gym this evening and notice a nice bright red fox GT. Got a closer look and found out it was an auto riding on huge croome wheels. Got my workout in and after leaving the gym I find a young guy checking my car out. He said nice car and chatted for a few minutes then pointed out that his Red 89 GT was just a few cars down. I complimented him on the cars near new apperance. He told me all he had done so far was intake and exhaust. I mentioned I bought the car basically stock with big plans for it. He asked if I wanted to run them, just for fun. I'm always up for a race but wanted a dig sinse I figured it was my best chance of winning. We roll out and line em up at a light. On green I pull a car lenth and hear screaming tires. Blew his launch and I win easily. He asks for a do over. Again Green and I outlaunch him. He does a little better this time but didn't have enough power to reel me in. Cant wait til this car is making some power and can take on some real cars. Lotta fun listening to the 5.0 liter exhausts.

Nice run. Are you just gonna leave the car stock and do H/C/I exhaust and whatever else at once?

I plan on throwing a lot of mods at the car at once provided the tax return is fat. Planning on H/C/I, Exhaust, built rear, 200 shot. And then follow that up with suspension and a new performance tranny when funds allow.

nice run man. have you done anything to the car yet? you can get a few free hp by grabbin a timing light and upping your base timing to 14* or so.

Good run, BB. Can't wait for that tax return+10s. It just doesn't feel right around here with you in the 15s, lol.

Only mod the car has right now is a dynomax cat back. I haven't advanced the timing but have been thinking about doing that and pulling the interior out of it and heading back to the track to at least get into the 14s before next spring.
